General

Totemism is an unorthodox current in Deiic society.

Concept

Individual Akrehdei at times decide to embark on a kind of hermit-like existence amidst society. Through introspection, they focus on their perceived purpose - often self-chosen - and shed all other attributes for it. This often includes gender identity as well.

Etymology

As they often carry a symbol of their destiny with them, these Akrehdei are themselves called totems.
