The region was once the ancestral home and stronghold of the Magotho dragon clan. At the time of the Iron Gate saga, Dracomayor de facto belongs to the Aerznian Empire. However, the land is scarcely populated, if at all, and economically unattractive.

Climate
Dracomayor is relatively arid. It is located in the zone influenced by the terraforming of the Old Empire. In its original state it would have a desert climate, but between 50 B.I.D. and 7000 A.I.D. it is more like a savannah. In the context of the regression of terraforming, it increasingly resumes its original form.
