Aerznia

General

Aerznia [ɛɐ̯t͡snja] is a region in Áváhé, which occupies most of the Central South. The whole region is dominated by the Aerznian Empire.

Etymology

"Aerznia" is a term likely derived from "Arenzino," the name of one of the highest deities in the Aerznian pantheon, who is said to have taken possession of the land. However, during the era of the Old Empire, this term was not in use. Instead, the region was referred to as Phoeica or Greater Phoeica.

Geography

Aerznia combines different landscapes on itself, from dry desert to Mediterranean landscape.

Climate

Western Aerznia is located in the magically influenced zone and therefore has a distinctly temperate climate. Eastern Azeria is characterized by the Aerznian desert and the north by tropical savannah.
