General

The Chair of Jana (or Jana's Chair) is an ancient throne in the capital of the Dróžt Ýóva.

Features

The throne is made of wood. It is the extremely artfully carved remains of a preserved large tree stump. Under the chair is the grave of Vlatko Gradimir Sokol, to whom Jana was married.

Relevance

The Chair of jana is the center of power in the Dróžt culture. It is even more important than the regent who sits on it. Whoever sits on this throne - or has the power to sit on it at any time without being prevented from doing so - has the power over the Dróžt.

History

The throne received its name from its builder, respectively founder; the Lady Jana. After the death of her husband, Jana became the first woman ever to take power over the Dróžt. She burried Vlatko under the tree from which she then had the throne made.

The city of Ýóva was eventually built around the throne.
