Free Wanderers
General
Free Wanderers are called Dragons, which who do not live by the Old Law. They usually do not live in social communities, which would have to be regulated, but as loners.
Conceptual Clarification
Originally, Free Wanderers were only Dragons who rejected the newly created Old Law and did not want to live by its rules, choosing instead a life as neutral hermits. Later - from about 600 A.I.D. on - the term also included members of other species, who acted similarly.
After the Fall of the Old Empire, the term was only used by Dragons to describe other Dragons who lived outside their remaining communities and continued the traditional lifestyle of the Free Wanderers.
Free Wanderers in History
Usually, Free Wanderers are not interested in social or political events or affairs, as they live as hermits. However, there are historical examples in which they played a role.
Examples:
- The second Dragon Wars ended at the instigation of Free Wanderers, among others.
- During the interregnum in Quanar, Free Wanderers briefly took over the reigns of government.
