Magical Resonance

General

Magical resonance describes mostly immaterial traces of the use of magic that are perceptible to magically gifted beings (and many animals). Above all, the use of a large amount of magical potential leaves traces in space and time. These traces - resonances - can be described as a kind of echo or reverberation. They are often felt instinctively and perceived less cognitively by those who perceive them, but they can also materialize through visions.

Utility

The way resonance is perceived and the sensations they bring with them can shed light on the magical process. The perception is all the stronger the more potential has been transformed. If the amount is particularly large, material traces may also be present or the resonance may also be perceptible to less magically competent people.

The Framing Effect

Resonance can have a lasting effect on other beings. This is referred to as the framing effect.
