The Conclave of Owls serves as both an educational institution and a repository of knowledge, functioning as the overarching body for Gesoria's espionage network, research endeavors, and scientific pursuits. Situated in Templar, Gesoria's capital, this organization stands as one of the oldest in the nation and the world at large.
Name
The name "The Conclave of Owls" derives from two significant sources. Firstly, the owl symbolizes wisdom in Gesoria, as well as in Aerznia and Quanar. Secondly, the name harkens back to the three leaders of the conclave, who are actually Old Ones appearing in humanoid owl forms.
Goals
The Conclave of Owls conducts educational missions aimed at ordinary citizens and also undertakes the collection of knowledge across various fields for the purpose of preservation.

Leaders
The Conclave of Owls is led by three Old Ones, humanoid owls with distinct appearances, collectively known as "the Triumvirate." They were the original founders of the conclave and have remained at its helm since its inception. Over time, their original intentions have become obscure, but their invaluable contributions are widely acknowledged and respected.
Due to their wisdom and authority, the Triumvirate's leadership is seldom questioned, allowing them to oversee the Conclave with a considerable degree of autonomy, independent of the Gesorian government.

The Conclave operates libraries at various decentralized locations in Gesoria, which preserve the extensive store of knowledge as a state asset.
Distinct Sub-Organisations
The Conclave has numerous branches and offshoots, each tasked with different responsibilities such as the Gesorian spy network or the Gesorian welfare order. While they maintain a degree of independence, they are generally subordinate to the Conclave.

History
The Conclave was established in 5921 A.I.D. by the three Old Ones, initially with the sole objective of accumulating knowledge. Over time, its role expanded to serve various governments in Gesoria, taking on additional responsibilities and oversight duties.
Symbol
In the early days, the Triumvirate operated from an old mansion located on the west coast of Meomor, near Templar. They adopted the bell tower of this building as their identifying symbol. Subsequently, the bell symbol was incorporated into Gesoria's emblem, partly due to its association with maritime navigation in Tammeren. Over time, the bell evolved into the simplified symbol of the Conclave.
