General

The Guardian of Quanar was rumored to have been a mystical creature which protected the city of Quanar from harm in ancient times.

Appearance

According to the legends, the Guardian of Quanar appeared as a huge white lion, about the size of a Dragon. In addition to a mane, he is said to have worn horns or similar shapes on his head and horn-like armor on his limbs. He was often said to be surrounded by a golden glow that could act like fire.

The guardian is part of Quanar folklore and is occasionally referenced in arts and crafts or used as a symbol. He is the emblem of the city guard.

Facts Known

The Conclave of Owls in Gesoria is the only institution that still has reliable data about the Guardian of Quanar.

This is the only available information:

• The Guardian of Quanar really existed and he also had the appearance described above. He appeared frequently in Quanar and was part of public life. This knowledge is protected by the conclave and not made available to outsiders.
• The guardian disappeared around the time of the Scarlet Night, but more likely shortly prior to that.
• The body of the guard is still preserved. It is undoubtedly recognizable by the fact that - contrary to what one might expect - it is still intact and not decayed.
• The corpus is located somewhere in Aerznia.
