General
Nithan Quor [ni:than ko:ɐ̯] is the alledged founder of the cult of the Kneelers at the Closed Gate. He was presumably born between 6890 and 6895 A.I.D. and died presumably between 6960 and 6961 A.I.D., allegedly by cutting open his own arms and drowning himself in the Great Stream of the South inside of Quanar.
Known Facts
Not much is known about the person Nithan Quor, except that he is said to have been a craftsman who lived near or in Quanar. The members of the cult of the Kneelers at the Closed Gate consider him to be the founder of their faith, without this having ever been confirmed.
It is known, however, that he was a Human male who was about 56 to 58 years old at the time of the first documented mention of the cult, and that he claimed throughout his life to be descended from the ancient diplomat Nideon Thavi. He sought to corroborate this claim by stating that the name Nithan represents the Quaräan-Aerznian version of the original Brônian name Nideon, which in itself is correct. This is the reason why he is mentioned at all in the Quaraian historiography, but more as a side note that is not taken seriously.
Nithan Quor had probably left no children. Apart from his clothes, when he was found by the river, he had with him only a scrap of old red cloth with gold inlays, which he had fastened to his belt. This is mentioned in the Quarian historiography and has therefore been handed down. It was mentioned because the scribe thought he saw a resemblance to Flarrockan scarfs, which would have been unusual for a Quaräan so far from Flarrock, despite the piece being small and tattered.
